Our Young Enteprise Team, Food for Thought, were at the Renfrewshire Regional Finals recently.
The team competed against 5 others teams and were the only team from Renfrewshire. The team took part in an interview, simulated selling activity, networking meeting and gave a presentation. Thanks again to those who came along to see their practise presentation in advance of this event as we know it really boosted their confidence. The team also submitted a reflective 3000-word business report in advance of the day so a lot of hard work goes into this competition. Many of these elements were scored/judged and there were 7 awards up for grabs plus the big prize “Company of the Year 2025”.
The entire team have been incredible this year and the 13 who represented the team at the event were a “credit to the school” (direct quote). The competition was incredibly high as always but Food for Thought managed to bring home 3 awards this year. They won the Sustainability Award, the award for Best Business Report and most importantly COMPANY OF THE YEAR 2025!🎉🎉
This means that yet again we will be going to Hampden in May to compete in the Scottish National Finals representing the Renfrewshire Area. Johnstone High School are the only team in the area’s 30-year history to achieve this 3 years in a row, so this truly is an incredible achievement!
This really does means that our YE journey is not over, so please check out their Instagram here to keep up with their progress and hopeful success in the next stage of this competition.
Many thanks to all of you who have supported our team on their journey.
